Wavering Between Elements

The Background and foreground were fabric, I use a painterly approach by
spraying them with paint.|
I cut a few pieces of wood measured 18.5 inches. I prepared slightly more
because I worried I might have burnt all of them and couldn't come out with
a satisfactory shot.
Was rather difficult to "balance" them though.
Anyway, the hardest part about this image is to lit the fire and run back to
press the shutter. After almost 1 roll of film, I finally got this one.
Petrol seems to be the best material to lit the fire. It burn and extinguish
real fast without actually burning the beam.
Grain was intentional.
