When passing by the forest today I was upset to see someone has
chopped down the trees. I picked up a remaining leaf from a tree, went
home and setup this shot.
This shot was taken, as it is no double-exposure was applied. The idea
is to let the leaf pass through the rope and dropped on the surface. To
display motion, I figured doing it in 3 seconds would be nice.
1 - Shoot the leaf as it is.
2 - Leaf dropping.
3 - Leaf landed. I tied the leaf with a black string and trying to figure out the best way
to cut the string without much vibration. After numerous attempts, I found
out that using a candle to burn the string proves to be the most effective
method and it certainly minimized vibrations. However, I have to keep
mumbling 1,2,3 to get the correct timing. First second, press shutter on
cable release, on the 2nd second, I burned the string. After tireless
attempts, this was the result.
